The Disaffected Magazine started as a YouTube channel to inspire robust debates around trending political and sociocultural issues affecting governance and democracy in Africa’s most populated country. Through video essay content, the channel has always taken a rational approach to talking about said issues.

After about two years, the channel has taken a life of its own and is now available as a podcast and a magazine. Everyone rants about the things they don’t like about their country. But can you rant with style? This is what this magazine is about. We give you entertaining writing laced with angst and disaffection.

We accept submissions from all over the world.
